A percussionist since age ten, Tim has studied from musicians like James Morton, Mark Schulman, Tyler Dempsey, and Zoro the Drummer. His drumming inspiration comes from drummers like Buddy Rick, Dave Weckle, Jeff Hamilton, Carter Beauford, Zoro, and Steve Gadd just to name a few.

Throughout Tim’s musical career, he has played for various orchestras, big bands, and drum corps. In addition, he has been a part of bands ranging anywhere from rock, to country, to hip hop.Tim has tought musicians ranging in ages 5 years to 70 years. He has been a drum indtructor for several different junior high and high schools. Tim strives for success and his creativity easily comes.

His passion is quickly understood when he gets a pair of Vic Firths’s in his hands. Currently Tim is the CEO of his own company Staump Productions LLC. Staump Productions runs the web site Staump.com as well as a recording studio and music school.
