Dread Lullabies

The Dread Lullabies are composed of childhood friends Juice Lee and Ziggy Abbott.
After a variety of musical ventures--both together and independently--and parting ways
with their last four piece band, Juice and Zig re-united to form The Dread Lullabies.

As an unusual and rather diametrically opposed two piece, The Dread Lullabies perform all over California. Their versatility allows them to play a quiet, evocative, acoustic set at
your local coffee shop or winery, or bash out a loud and rocking set at bars and clubs.
Their rhythmic, almost tribal, drumbeats and gruff, gritty, guitar riffs are the backdrop
over which melodic vocals and noted harmonies form their unique compositions that
cling to no one genre.

Individually or as collaborators, Juice and Zig have written hundreds of original songs,
which they perform along with covers from artists ranging from Ozzy Osbourne and
Judas Priest to The Bee Gees and Neil Diamond, with their beloved Beatles falling
somewhere in between. Not to forget, they also have very unexpected takes on
seemingly out of place tracks by Lady Gaga or Justin Timberlake.

The Dread Lullabies find joy and solace in the strange and macabre, bringing that love
of oddity to their studio recordings as well as their live shows. With an eclectic catalog
of musical tastes between the two members, The Dread Lullabies rely on their creative
differences and similitude alike, as the driving force behind their distinctive sound.
