Jason Gato, (born July 14th, 1984) is an American guitarist from Miami Florida, known for his song writing, studio session work (Rebel11, Mix Masters Miami) and his seniority with the melodic death metal band, Silenmara. Silenmara has a rich 3 record discography including the single “By Methods” which featured Bjorn Speed Stird of Soilwork on guest vocal. Silenmara has enjoyed a steady rise in international popularity from its inception in 2008. Playing along side bands like Fear Factory, Kobra and the Lotus, Scar Symmetry, Dark Tranquility, Unearth, GWAR, Nonpoint, Amaranthe, Soulfly and Evergrey, just to name a few. Jason’s role has been critical to the bands sound and sonic progression over the years.
Jason began playing guitar at the age of 13 after he broke his arm and wrist in an accident. The rehabilitation nurse recommended he pick up guitar to help heal his hand and wrist, the rest is history.
Jason has a long history In the South Florida music scene extending back to 1999. “I played my first live show when I was 15 years old, I fell in love with the stage and the rush that live music performance gave me.” Says Jason.
Jason has been involved and active with many musical equipment companies but currently endorses: Kiesel Guitars, KSR amps, Tsunami Cables, Rockbox electronics and Chris Campbell Custom guitar strings.
Expect much more from this budding guitarist, 2018 has only brought more inspiration and light to his path.
