Javier Perez
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, JP2 (Javier Perez) is a guitarist/singer/songwriter with a musical track record that expands over 20 years. He played in several bands while pursuing a music degree at the Interamerican University in San German, PR. In 2001, he moved to Orlando, FL in search of akin musical minds with which to bring his anthems to life. He was a founding member of Runnin Blind with whom he released two albums: The Carpet Room and C.O.J.I.E. He also took part in other musical groups like Over The Radar and an early adaptation of Alphæus, where he is featured in a guitar solo for the song “The Virulent” found on the band’s debut “Apoptosis”. He has also collaborated on several compositions for the University of Central Florida as part of the band *Templar*.
JP2’s musical style is a mixture of rock, metal, jazz and progressive tones, all with a modern twist. His single “Walk Alone”, released in May of 2019, has garnered tons of attention in underground music circles as well as lots of airplay on FM stations across Australia and New Zealand and internet radio stations across the USA, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom.
JP2 is currently working on an EP due this fall.
