Stefan Dolegowski is a musician who was born in Tuckerton, New Jersey, and grew up primarily in Southern California. He began playing guitar at the age of 11, after curiously watching his father play. He started out learning songs from Blink-182, Goldfinger, Metallica, AC/DC and Green Day. Over the years, many different styles of music began to influence Stefan as he grew fond of how technical music could be. Now drawing influence from artists such as Avenged Sevenfold, Intervals, Angel Vivaldi, Andy James, As I Lay Dying and many others, Stefan writes music that maintains melody, but also has an ever certain metal edge.
In 2012, Stefan restarted a musical project with some friends from High School, which is now known as Retribution. After releasing a self-titled demo in 2014, and becoming a part of Rage&Color Records out of San Diego in 2015, Retribution released a Split EP with label mates Peace In Terror. Retribution has performed at venues such as Brick By Brick, House of Blues San Diego, The Whisky A GoGo, M15, and many other places in Southern California. Along with Retribution, Stefan also works on his current solo project, which is aiming to release an EP this year. He plays Schecter guitars, and Peavey amplifiers.
